Job Summary:

Cirkul is seeking an experienced Plant Controller that will be responsible for the overall management of accounting and financial reporting for our facilities. The position requires a person who understands manufacturing processes and systems. The role will be a key business partner with supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics.

The Plant Controller will be responsible for five facilities, located in two states, and will have a direct report. Our ideal candidate is a strong communicator, has experience in leading people and is comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What does an average day look like?

  • Driving Results:
    • Prepares necessary monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules and financial data
    • Manage all operational balance sheet accounts
  • Taking Ownership:
    • Responsible for the month-end closing process and ensure that all transactions for the period have been accurately recorded
    • Support year-end audit procedures required for operations
  • Making Decisions:
    • Determine cost of operations by establishing standard costs; collect operational data; analyze cost variances to determine their cause and resolution
    • Develop and Determine policies and procedures for cost analysis
  • Cultivating Relationships:
    • Serve as a subject-matter-expect regarding the inventory module of the ERP and continuously suggest/implement modifications to streamline processes
  • Instilling Trust:
    • Drive accounting processes and process improvements within the plant to ensure accurate books and records
  • Customer Focus:
    • Working closely with stakeholders within operations to develop cost forecast and budgets

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. CPA and/or CMA a plus
  • 5 or more years of progressive experience in Finance or Accounting Management experience including Cost Accounting, Finance or General Accounting
  • Manufacturing industry experience required
  • Strong computer skills, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and business management software
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial personnel
