Your day-to-day work will include:

Support DLA’s Major Subordinate Commands (MSCs) in implementing and executing the Risk Management and Internal Controls (RMIC) Program in support of DLA’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) initiatives. This involves direct support to the MSC’s Risk and Internal Control Administrators (RICA) lead(s) with the execution of a strategy that engages functional leaders across the enterprise to identify, analyze, and respond to risks. The ideal candidate will assist in the implementation, evaluation, enhancement, and reporting of internal controls established to respond to identified risks.

Duties and expectations include, but are not limited to the following:

  1. Developing and implementing risk assessment templates for further testing, evaluation, and mitigation.
  2. Identifying, developing, and mapping key internal controls in major business unit process documentation, leveraging compliant change management procedures.
  3. Reviewing existing business process documentation to ensure compliance with current regulations, internal guidance, and best practices.
  4. Identifying deficiencies and risks and performing root cause analyses to develop detailed recommendations.
  5. Reviewing and/or updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Job Aids, Desk Guides, flowcharts, process maps, business process narratives, or other programmatic documents to support the MSC’s RMIC program.
  6. Assisting with the implementation of management solutions, including developing training.
  7. Performing tests on business processes and system controls.
  8. Reviewing and monitoring Risk Response Plans.
  9. Assisting with Statement of Assurance (SOA) deliverable development, including supporting schedules, in compliance with RMIC policies.
  10. Reviewing, analyzing, and providing direction to supporting staff with their assigned deliverables.
  11. Understanding of GAAP, GAGAS, OMB A-123, ICOFR, and FASAB.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Mandatory: Four (4) years of accounting or financial experience, including supervising and directing efforts of staff.

Preferred:

  • GAAP/GAGAS/ICOR experience.
  • OMB policies SSAC, and SFFAS experience.
  • DoD and DLA financial management policies and procedures.
  • DLA policies, systems, and procedures for personnel, acquisition, inventory, property, and material management.
  • Familiarity with FMS, ERP, and WMS.
  • CPA, CIA, CISA, CDFM, or CGFM certification.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Mandatory: None.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.

WORK TYPE: On-site; New Cumberland, PA.

Clearance Requirements: SECRET Clearance.

WORK HOURS:

The typical day consists of a 9-5 Monday-Friday work schedule totaling 40 hours per week, but we do realize that life happens, and things come up. Many of our positions allow some flexibility in the work schedule for unforeseen events so that our employees can maintain a 40-hour work week and still have the opportunity to meet other obligations during the workday.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:
