The Archdiocese of Chicago, the third largest in the United States, serves more than 2.2 million Catholics in 216 parishes in Cook County and Lake County, a geographic area of 1,411 square miles. Supports a moderate APC operation and/or supports Manager FP&A in major/moderate operation(s) including Annual and long-range budgeting process, Management Reporting and trend analysis, financial performance reporting, analysis and review process and ad-hoc analyses. Participate in initiatives to streamline, automate, and properly control the FP&A function and underlying APC operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop deep understanding of the underlying operations and drivers for the budgets. Lead and manage the annual budgeting process including, guidelines, systems and tools, change tracking, and review and approval. Lead and manage the long-range planning process including, guidelines, systems and tools, change tracking, and review and approval.
- Manage and operate the management reporting and analysis process, including reports and variance analysis, trend analysis, corresponding systems and tools, and review process with operating management for the major/moderate operation(s) supported. Work with the operations supported to develop appropriate plans to manage financial issues and opportunities and achieve budgets.
- Leverage the budgeting and management reporting processes to drive accountability and financial control and help ensure the APC operation supported meets financial targets.
- Participates in the operation of enterprise-wide FP&A processes (e.g., annual budgeting) and enterprise-wise infrastructure (e.g., OneStream)
- Identify, design and develop opportunities to improve FP&A processes and systems, maximizing the use of automation.
- Supports initiatives to streamline, automate, and properly control the FP&A function.
- Supports goal setting and achievement process.
- No formal supervisory responsibility
- Travel (0 - 10%) to attend meetings at other AoC locations in the Chicago metropolitan area including Quigley, Myers, USML, PRMMA, etc. (dependent on support roles assigned to each Sr. Analyst)
