Position: Government Sales Associate (VoIP Supply Product Sales - Buffalo, NY Remote)
VoIP Supply, a Sangoma company, is seeking a Government Sales Associate who will represent VoIP Supply's customers in managing and expanding relationships with government clients within the GSA framework. This role focuses on selling VoIP hardware and solutions while fostering new business opportunities. You will actively participate in training, sales activities, and the full sales cycle, including client relationship management, business development, and contract compliance.
Your Role:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for government clients.
  • Develop strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and alignment with client needs.
  • Foster trust and respect with clients and internal teams.
  • Pursue new business opportunities in the GSA sector, developing strategies to achieve sales targets.
  • Conduct needed assessments, consult on VoIP solutions, and present compelling proposals.
  • Identify and engage potential customers, expanding our presence in the federal market.
  • Navigate the GSA contract process, ensuring regulatory compliance and managing contract performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate fulfillment of contract terms.
  • Collaborate with internal resources to develop project scopes, schedules, and costs.
  • Oversee project implementation to ensure client needs are met and potential issues are addressed.
  • Provide responsive and timely service to clients, ensuring follow-up on after-sale support.
  • Assist accounting in resolving receivables or client credit issues.
  • Maintain communication with clients regarding project and order status.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and government procurement processes.
  • Provide insights to improve product offerings and market positioning.
  • Complete all required sales training and maintain certifications.
  • Engage in continuous learning for product knowledge and process updates.
  • Manage inbound call queues and online chats to assist customers with product inquiries.
  • Maintain regular contact with existing government clients to identify add-ons and new business opportunities.
  • Respond promptly to all customer leads, calls, and emails, ensuring timely follow-up on proposals and sales opportunities.
  • Accurately document client interactions in CRM platforms (HubSpot), ensuring proper use of sales tools.
  • Stay current on market trends, competitive landscape, and procurement processes relevant to VoIP and GSA contracts.
  • Achieve daily, monthly, and quarterly sales metrics and proactively manage your sales pipeline.
Your Background:
  • At least 5 years of experience in business development, account management, and sales activities within the federal government sector, including a proven record of winning government contracts.
  • Must have government sales experience.
  • Prior experience selling VoIP solutions is required.
  • Familiarity with IT, data analytics, software development, and cybersecurity is a plus.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets, with strong business development and client relationship skills.
  • Understanding of GSA procurement processes, 8(a), and Full & Open Government procurements.
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities, with proficiency in CRM software and tools (HubSpot, Microsoft Office Suite)
  • U.S. Citizenship (non-negotiable).
  • Excellent time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
