Line Cook Job Description

● A line cook at Rasarumah is expected to work the line as scheduled. Be in
communication with the Executive Chef and GM if there are any requests for time off,
please understand that these are requests and will be honored as business can allow.
Management will post the schedule by Thursday, each week.
● You will be expected to learn how all Rasarumah dishes are prepared, cooked, and
plated. Take notes and pictures if need be.
● Service and quality must always be at the forefront of your decision-making process.
● Maintain open and regular communication with fellow kitchen staff and management to
keep pars and regular workflow.
● Be the person that people want to work with. Empathy above all.
● EYES UP! It is everyone’s responsibility to create a warm and inviting sense of
hospitality at Rasarumah. It is our expectation that every person who visits us is treated
warmly. If you interact with a guest, smile, make eye contact, and greet the guest.
● You are the last line of defense as a finished product leaves the kitchen, making sure our
guests experience the food the way it is meant to be.
● The Rasarumahs kitchen is visible and is a forward-facing kitchen so cleanliness is
always a top priority. Everyone can see you and your station at all times. Make sure you
continuously clean and wipe down as you work.
● You will be expected to maintain your station in the kitchen and keep things organized.
● You will be expected to follow Health Department regulations for cleanliness, food
handling, and food safety.
