Accounts Receivable Specialist
Location: Tempe, AZ - 100% onsite
Compensation: $23/hr - $26/hr
Schedule: Monday through Friday - 8am - 5pm
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our client's growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in billing, cash applications, invoice follow-up, and general ledger management. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage accounts receivable processes, ensure accurate financial records, and provide outstanding customer service.

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our client's growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in billing, cash applications, invoice follow-up, and general ledger management. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage accounts receivable processes, ensure accurate financial records, and provide outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Process customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Apply payments received to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies
- Conduct regular follow-up on outstanding invoices and communicate with customers to resolve payment issues
- Maintain up-to-date billing records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Assist in the preparation of journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing and payment discrepancies
- Generate aging reports and analyze accounts receivable aging trends
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders regarding billing inquiries and disputes
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities as needed
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounts receivable or related finance roles
- Proficiency in billing systems and software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
- Strong understanding of general ledger principles and journal entry processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and ability to meet deadlines
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
