Main function of job:

The primary function of the Sales Director is to actively sell the full suite of ALSP services for the Division as a new business hunter, creating and implementing strategic sales plans and building and developing enduring client relationships.

Relationships:

Responsible to: Executive VP, Sales

Works closely with: Divisional CEO, Divisional Management Team, Business Heads & Integrations Director

Working in close collaboration with: Head of BD & Marketing for the Mindcrest Division

Liaison with: Key stakeholders across Division and Group, mainly within Legal Advisory

Main Duties:

  1. Work as per the global sales strategy, including close working with the Head of Marketing and Business Development on campaigns, advertising and PR.
  2. Plan and implement sales and customer growth, retention and development across each of the individual businesses within the Division and for the Division as a whole.
  3. Contribute to formulation of policy and strategy as a member of the management, including by monitoring and benchmarking against competitors, responding to market changes and creating agility and flexibility in plans to maintain competitive advantage.
  4. Monitor and drive personal performance of sales.
  5. Collaborate across the DWF Group to develop a global, group-wide sales team as part of the Group's Vision to be the leading global provider of integrated legal and business services.
  6. Maintain administration and relevant reporting and planning systems (such as SalesForce).
  7. Liaise with the Head of Marketing and BD to select and manage external agencies.
  8. Work closely with Finance and Delivery teams to agree pricing and structures where required.
  9. Meet sales targets and plans as decided by Executive VP of Sales.
  10. Work collaboratively with opposites in other divisions of the DWF Group and Partners and Leaders responsible for specific client relationships.
  11. Monitor and accurately forecast regularly to ensure KPIs, targets and budgets are met and exceeded.
  12. Identify and report on business opportunities in target markets, understanding the market and trends within it.
  13. Represent the business at conferences, trade fairs and networking events.
  14. Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.

  8. Have a track record of implementing structure and methodologies to improve consistency of approach and increase conversion.
  9. Gravitas and credibility to deal with senior client relationships and work with complex organisations.
  10. Customer firm but friendly approach and able to help to close deals.
  11. Strong eye on margin management.
  12. Demonstrable experience in leading business growth through sales.
  13. Ability to build and develop long lasting relationships with clients and intermediaries.
