We are currently looking for a Project Engineer to join our team!
Job Responsibilities
  • Independently identifies and performs required tasks with minimal direction on specific items.
  • Studies and understand project drawings, specifications, subcontractor agreements and purchase orders.
  • Manages the Request for Information (RFI) process to ensure all RFI's are correct, getting resolved on time, posted, and distributed correctly.
  • Records and distributes meeting minutes for all necessary meetings.
  • Leads the submittal process from setup to closeout and is accountable for all processes being followed; including holding team members and customers accountable to meet deadlines in submittal processes.
  • Leads the procurement tracking process by thoroughly reviewing and understanding submittals, tracking material orders and lead times, and elevates procurement issues when conflicts arise.
  • Understands project budget and how costs are tracked, recorded, and measured.
  • Demonstrates the ability to accurately track material quantities and production rates.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of various types of owner contracts and project delivery types.
  • Works with QC manager and superintendents to document QA/QC for specific scopes and closeout of items prior to milestone activities.
  • Coordinates with the project team to ensure documents are being generated and saved in the correct locations and demonstrate the ability to teach others how to manage the document compliance process.
  • Seeks out team members and leverage their experience to increase personal building knowledge of commercial construction.
  • Understands team members’ roles and is supportive and helpful.
  • Leverages personal knowledge and experience to anticipate resolution of problems before they arise and assist team with solving issues across multiple scopes of work.
  • Organizes project documents for field team to reference during the construction phase of projects (i.e. – foreman binder).
  • Leads the project set up process and provides all forms and logs prior to the start of work and helps maintain through the construction phase.
  • Obtains, processes, and tracks labor subcontractor timecards and invoices.
  • Assists with setting up meetings and drafting agendas.
  • Identifies and implements ways to improve standard processes and procedures.
  • Assists with project closeout requirements.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field from four-year college or university or equivalent industry experience.
  • Revit, Navisworks and Bluebeam experience/capability desired.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Maintains a strong work ethic and positive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • 2-5 years of on-the-job experience required.
  • Earns certifications for 1st Aid, CPR & OSHA 10-hour.

Salary:
The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 per year. Salary to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, location where job is performed. Haselden does not discriminate based upon any protected category with respect to the payment of wages.
