Real Estate Attorney

We are seeking a senior Real Estate Attorney to join our dynamic team at our Florida law firm. This role is centered on commercial real estate finance, involving both lender and borrower side transactions. The successful candidate will handle complex negotiations and deal structuring, working closely with clients to ensure optimal outcomes in commercial real estate investments and financial arrangements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and negotiate commercial real estate finance transactions.
  • Advise both lenders and borrowers in securing and providing financial investment.
  • Structure deals involving leverage transactions and navigate legal and financial complexities.
  • Engage in direct client communications to understand needs and deliver solutions.
  • Work with preferred equity and joint ventures to expand investment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to align transaction processes with legal requirements.
  • Stay abreast of changes in law and industry standards to continually refine firm practices and documentation.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar admission in the state of Florida.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate finance.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
  • Proven track record of handling complex commercial real estate transactions.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with leveraged transactions and loan products.
  • Familiarity with joint ventures, preferred equity investments, or similar partnership structures.
  • History of direct client relationship management and client service.
  • Robust negotiation skills with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and teamwork experience.
  • Continual professional development in commercial real estate law and finance.
