Job Requirements / Description

Metrohm Raman designs and builds state-of-the-art spectroscopy equipment for chemical identification with exciting applications ranging from Defense/Security to Pharmaceuticals. Our focus is utilizing Raman spectroscopy to perform analysis and identification of unknown compounds in the field. We are continuously innovating our products and pursuing new markets.

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic person to join our team. You will collaborate with other engineers to deliver a multitude of advanced software projects. You should have excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of software development and computer science concepts.

  • Lead a team of software engineers
  • Provide coaching, and mentorship
  • Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team
  • Collaborate with other engineering team leads and project managers
  • Participate in project road mapping
  • Participate in the development, design, testing, and implementation of software systems
  • Strong commitment to engineering best practices and processes
  • Oversee the release of quality software and firmware
  • Ensure adherence to our standards, policies, and procedures
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety rules
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of Software Engineering experience
  • Prior experience in a technical leadership position
  • Experience with C# (.NET framework), C++, or Lua
  • Experience with Agile process
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment
  • Positive attitude and excellent work ethic

Beneficial Qualifications:

  • Experience developing on Embedded systems
  • Experience developing on both Linux and Windows
