Support Tech 1 or 2 - Field Support

Additional Position Details: Full-time position based out of Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford. Must be able to work both 7:30am to 4:00pm and 8:00am to 4:30pm. Each shift will have an on-call rotation once fully trained.

For this role, candidates meeting the Level 2 Field Support Tech qualifications are preferred, however those at Level 1 may be considered. Details on qualifications for both levels noted below.

Salary: Based on qualifications, years of relevant experience, and level of position.

  • Support Tech 2 level starts at $24.80 an hour and up - increase is based on qualifications and years of relevant experience.
  • Support Tech 1 level starts at $21.87 an hour and up - increase is based on qualifications and years of relevant experience.
Field Support Tech 2 - Position Summary

The Support Tech 2 for Field Support is responsible for the installation, repair, implementation and support of systems hardware and software, working under minimal supervision. In this role, the Tech provides end-user Personal Computer (PC) hardware and software installation and support for multiple applications on multiple systems. This position encompasses a thorough understanding of the PC and printer hardware, network connectivity, PC software, and clinical software. This person actively demonstrates maturity, professionalism and a sense of urgency in dealing with both external and internal customers. This role may be required to support a variety of hours and at a variety of locations. May also include on-call work.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Associate degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferred .

Experience

  • 3 or more years of progressive experience in an IT or IS environment providing direct technical support required.
  • Experience in a healthcare technology environment highly desired.

Licensure/Certifications

  • ODL: Possession of a valid Driver's License with proof of safe driving record for the past ten years and proof of insurance is required.
  • One or more of the following certifications are preferred : Network+, MCDST, IBM CSE - iSeries, A+, MCP, Network +, or other computer-related certifications.
Field Support Tech 1 - Position Summary

The Support Tech 1 for Field Support is an entry level position for the Information Technology Services department. In this role, the Field Support Tech 1 is responsible for support of system hardware and software, working within prescribed procedures under direct supervision, and assisting with installation and implementation as directed and provides end-user Personal Computer (PC) hardware and software support for multiple applications on multiple systems. This position encompasses an entry-level understanding of the PC and printer hardware, network connectivity, PC software and clinical software. The Tech also supports end-user information system capabilities relating to meeting institutional and departmental goals. This role may be required to support a variety of hours and at a variety of locations. May also include on-call work.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Associate degree in related field, preferred .

Experience

  • 1 year in an IT or IS environment, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience, required.

Licensure/Certifications

  • ODL: Possession of valid Driver's License with proof of safe driving record for the past ten years and proof of insurance required.
  • One or more of the following, or other computer-related certifications are preferred: A+, MCP, HCI CSS, or HCI HDA.
