ROLE: UX Designer

REPORTS TO: UI/UX Director

LOCATION: Hybrid (in San Francisco studio and remote)

CONTRACT: Freelance

Job Description:

Territory is searching for a UX Designer who is looking to grow their responsibilities and experience across new and challenging projects. This person should have a love for systems, codification, and organization, plus a knack for knowing instinctively what is going to work. Being a clear and concise communicator with the internal team and client will be key to success, along with taking a hands-on approach to projects.

Most immediately, you’d be working at the cutting edge of UX, helping drive the future of an industry that is in the midst of a complete paradigm shift - working directly with the client and internal teams to define design directions, and taking a level of responsibility for the UX in execution and delivery.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years working on non-traditional UX platforms and digital products. We are looking for experience outside of web and mobile experiences - this must be shown in work samples to be considered for the role.
  • Familiar with HMI projects, automotive/transportation experience is a major plus.
  • Great internal communicator; translating client requests to UX frameworks and actionable tasks for the design team.
  • Experience and enthusiasm around building presentations and presenting work directly to the client and stakeholders, explaining rationale and process.
  • Being located in the San Francisco Bay area is strongly preferred.
