Family Attorney

A law firm in Fremont, CA, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Attorney to represent clients in all areas of family law. The ideal candidate will assist individuals in navigating prenuptial agreements, attending court hearings for divorce, alimony/spousal support, and child support, and handling sensitive legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence. This role requires maintaining composure, negotiating, and arguing effectively, even in emotional and high-stress situations.

Duties

• Represent clients in all areas of family law
• Assist individuals with prenuptial agreements and attend court hearings for divorce, alimony/spousal support, and child support
• Handle sensitive legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence
• Analyze clients' situations, understand their needs, and create strategic plans of action
• Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process
• Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients
• Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases
• Keep client files properly organized and up to date

Requirements

• Must be licensed to practice in the State of CA
• Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants

Education

• Undergraduate degree with a legal background

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the State of CA
