Industrial Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking an Industrial Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance department at our Thornton, IL location. The ideal candidate will lead a team to ensure equipment is well-maintained to meet production requirements and minimize downtime.

• Responsibilities:
• Supervise maintenance group and oversee work performed by maintenance crews and contractors
• Provide technical assistance to maintenance personnel for problem resolution
• Coordinate with the Maintenance Dept. for scheduling and stock needs
• Develop work schedules, equipment usage schedules, and priorities for mechanical expenditures
• Prepare project cost estimates and plant budgets
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
• Participate in plant projects and provide input on mechanical aspects
• Provide on-call maintenance support for all shifts
• Maintain good working condition of department tools and equipment
• Comply with all regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

• 5 years of mechanical repair and maintenance experience
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Knowledge of heavy industrial machinery and equipment
• Ability to lead and motivate others
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP preferred
• Knowledge of MSHA regulations and guidelines
• Willingness to participate in on-call schedule
