SummaryThe Chemical Engineer III role is a professional level position performing complex engineering functions on assigned or initiated programs, projects, or sub-projects of a specific nature by applying advanced mathematical, physical science, and/or engineering technologies.Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the design and/or project/process management of new and current products, programs, components, tools, and acceptance equipment in collaboration with higher level technical experts.Develops test procedures and performs complex engineering evaluation tests, product and process capability studies, quality audits, product or project data reviews, and other engineering evaluation work.Prepares evaluation reports, analyzes discrepancies, and makes recommendations for product, test equipment, procedures and manufacturing or operating processes that improve productivity and quality and reduce flowtime.Defines and acquires tooling, gauging and other equipment necessary to manufacture/inspect parts to assure product quality.Partners with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex design, development, production, and acceptance issues.Initiates evaluation and provide input regarding technological advances that improve productivity and quality, reduce flowtime, and enhance operational surety.Recognized as an emerging subject matter expert within the business unit.Provides mentorship, advice, and insight to other employees to ensure project and product compliance.You Must HaveBachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited Engineering program or bachelors of science degree in Physics from and accredited program.Four or more years of relevant experience in engineering, analytical, or related technical activities.Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.United States Citizenship.Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)We ValueDemonstrated analytical skills, mathematical computations, computer software applications, and written documentation.Demonstrated established technical methodologies to routine engineering projects.Honeywell is an equal opportunity employer.
