IS Global Service Center (GSC) operating from Chennai, India, is a part of IS supporting Expeditors IT operations. This Product-based Strategic Center's IT transformation has delivered a radical change to Expeditors IT manpower profile and skills over the past three years and will continue to deliver services as we continue to grow responsibly in the coming years.
As an Associate Developer in Test at Expeditors, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for writing automated tests and conducting thorough API testing. This role requires a deep understanding of testing methodologies and a passion for creating robust, maintainable test suites.
Responsibilities:
- Automation Testing: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress, Cucumber to ensure the stability and functionality of our web applications.
- API Testing: Design, implement, and execute API tests to validate data integrity, performance, and reliability.
- Test Strategy: Collaborate with the QA team and developers to define the overall testing strategy, test plans, and test cases.
- Defect Management: Identify, report, and track software defects, working closely with the development team to facilitate timely resolution.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as an SDET, with a strong track record of test automation and exposure on framework development.
- Proficiency in automation testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress, Cucumber.
- Solid understanding of API testing tools and techniques ensuring seamless integration between different services.
- Good knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Knowledge in test framework design and implementation from scratch.
- Good knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices, including CI/CD.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging skills and strong communication and collaboration skills.
