We have an opportunity for a Territory Sales Manager to join our growing Pool & Spa business, managing the St. Petersburg / Clearwater, FL territory! You will own your territory and sell Pentair’s highly successful products & brands, including pool filtration systems, pumps, heaters, automation systems, and more. You will sell primarily through authorized distributors, professional dealers, and pool installers/servicers, effectively utilizing marketing programs and promotional material, leveraging field resources, and providing technical product training.

You will:

  • Manage and grow assigned Pentair businesses by identifying and nurturing new and existing key relationships with channel partners, including pool distributors, builders, dealers, as well as service and retail customers.
  • Build relationships with key channel partners and influence sales of Pentair products and services by holding regular technical presentations, training seminars, and/or providing on-site support.
  • Promote Pentair’s products & brands effectively utilizing marketing programs, leveraging field resources, and distributor and end-user product training.
  • Develop and utilize a strong technical understanding of our products across the entire professional channel/portfolio to address customer needs and promote brand awareness and preference among our distributor partners.
  • Analyze customer specifications to determine proper product applications and/or accessories, provide expertise and recommend solutions to application and performance problems related to pumps in the field.

Key Qualifications:

  • Have earned a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Have 3-5 years of professional sales experience, with a proven ability to grow sales from identification of customer to execution of contract or sales order.
  • Have electro-mechanical skills and ability to train others, troubleshoot issues, and provide recommendations on our pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, or automation systems.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, organize, plan, meet difficult deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, follow-up, and documentation skills.
  • High energy, self-starter, and goal oriented. Eager to meet and exceed goals and targets.

Travel:

  • If you live in the territory, most of your travel will be day travel (home at night) to visit dealers, distributors, customers, events, tradeshows, and other business-related meetings. Up to 20% overnight travel may be required.
