DescriptionAmazon is seeking a Tax Technologist/Operations Senior Analyst to join our US International Reporting and Compliance team. This role will be based at our Seattle, WA or Arlington, VA headquarters.As the Tax Technologist/Operations Senior Analyst, you will focus on US federal international income tax reporting and compliance operations, including managing the end-to-end lifecycle for forms such as 1118, 1120-F, 5471, 8858, 8865, 8991, 8992, 8993, and 8621, as well as relevant disclosure statements.Key job responsibilitiesCreate, update, and maintain master data and mapping tables used for modeling and calculation processes (charts of account, e-file schema, account rollups)Create and update formulaic review solutions and analytical review dashboardsMaintain and roll over file import calculationsPrepare or review calculation models for various schedules of Forms 5471/8858Drive process improvements and collaborating with the Tax Technology team to streamline and automate recurring calculationsOversee data extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes from source models to tax return forms for GILTI, E&P, Subpart F, Foreign Tax Credits, and various other calculations for Forms 5471/8858Document direct tax reporting obligations by creating and/or reviewing audit-ready workpapersA day in the lifeThis is an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in international tax compliance and reporting, as well as your strong technical and analytical skills, to make a significant impact on Amazon's global tax operations. Make history.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degreeKnowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced levelExperience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experienceKnowledge of at least one data-focused technology tool, such as Python, SQL, Alteryx, Amazon QuickSight, or similarPreferred QualificationsAdvanced international compliance software skills including the following: Corptax and/or Tax Series (“tti”)Direct tax experience including relevant experience with international income tax compliance/reportingTax operational background and ability to drive process improvementsAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $57,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $123,500/year in our highest geographic market.
