Great Star Tools USA, Inc., based in Saddle Brook, NJ, is the parent holding company to the US operating companies of Hangzhou GreatStar Industrial, Ltd. which include Arrow Fastener Co., LLC, Shop-Vac USA, LLC, SK Tools USA, LLC, Prime-Line Products, LLC and GreatStar Industrial USA, LLC.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: VP Information Technology (IT) will report directly to the Group VP| CFO for Great Star Tools USA, Inc. and will lead the entire IT function (business applications and infrastructure) across the GreatStar Tools US group of companies which currently consists of 4 operating business units located in 6 states.

ABOUT THE POSITION: This role is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation and ongoing support for system solutions and business applications on time and within budget, managing a multi-state IT team, recommending IT strategies that support each of the different business units, planning projects including the implementation and post implementation optimization and support of ERP systems (SAP Business ByDesign) and overseeing the operation, maintenance and security of IT systems and networks.

SUPERVISES: Reporting to this position is the Director, Infrastructure & Security and their team, Senior Project Manager and Business System Applications team as well as the management of external vendors and contractors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with functional leaders to drive business process efficiency and develop a tactical road-map for IT initiatives, understanding the business strategy and identifying technology that can be used to support that strategy.
  • Lead relationship management at a senior level with key vendors, ensuring that they meet the business demands and evolve as necessary to meet the business needs.
  • Define business specific requirements, provide technological input and act as a business partner to determine primal technology choices for enterprise applications.
  • Implement current business projects that include Software Deployments, VOIP, Network, DR, ERP Upgrades and/or Rollouts.
  • Implement and integrate risk management and disaster recovery procedures across the enterprise, based on a thorough understanding of key IT services that must be maintained to reduce financial loss and critical customer service capability.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT operations, network services, cyber-security, business process analysis, etc.
  • Project Management skills with the ability to create complex project plans, KPI’s, justify the projects and metrics to executives, while identifying the risks and then execute the plan on schedule and on budget.
  • Ensure Company’s technology processes, service and systems are compliant with state, federal and global regulations (i.e. PCI compliance) as well as comply with Insurance Carrier cyber security requirements (i.e. MFA).
  • Accountable for the IT departmental budget to review and manage purchasing, billing, budgeting, and scheduling of resources to ensure contracts are paid accordingly and to identify contracts that can be updated or re-negotiated for possibly lower fees.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technical discipline
  • 5+ years of senior level management with hands-on administrator experience, maintaining and managing 24/7 data center infrastructure and networks. Experience overseeing data centers in-house and in cloud required. The current environment is a combination of Oracle Unix, IBM, AS400, iSeries and Intel-based VM servers.
  • 15+ years of overall IT experience with increasing responsibility
  • Effective team leader with excellent capabilities in communications, presentations and project management
  • Five plus years’ experience managing SAP ERP Tools and Solutions, prior SAP Hana or Business ByDesign experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with eCommerce tools and technologies, Warehouse Management Systems, Customer Management Systems and EDI
  • Management and oversight of enterprise contracts with major IT vendors such as Cisco, Oracle, Microsoft etc. involving complex licensing structures
  • An understanding of ITIL or other service management framework is a plus.
  • Strong process and documentation background are required, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge or prior oversight with the following technologies is preferred:
