A Day in the Life

As a Technical Product Manager – CareLink Cloud you will have responsibility for coordinating efforts between technology and business to drive innovation by supporting the product lifecycle from concept through launch. In addition to driving programs, you also set product vision and keep it on-track, working with the engineering teams to execute, and risk-manage very complex product development programs. You will help create solutions that simplify diabetes care and improve clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead product vision, management and development of the multiple applications and platforms
  2. Work directly with key stakeholders to understand requirements, address business and system issues
  3. Identify and clarify key product requirements, business needs and customer needs, along with regulatory and regional expectations.
  4. Drive multiple development projects end-to-end - Maintain schedules, track key milestones and program interdependencies and preempt risks.
  5. Lead change control reviews and apply critical analysis to make crisp decisions that manage scope, effort, time and risk.
  6. Assess product issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  7. Develop mechanisms for monitoring product experience and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
  8. Oversee and manage the operational aspects of new initiatives and serve as liaison between business stakeholders and technical, cross-functional R&D teams.
  9. Effectively communicate the product design and details and incorporate technical feasibility
  10. Drive new product introduction, including pre-release field trials and controlled rollout to international customers.
  11. Communicate program status using clear metrics and specific actions plans, applying organizational acumen appropriate for a senior level audience.
  12. Review status of projects; manage schedules and prepare status reports.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  1. Bachelors degree required
  2. Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience

Nice to Have

  1. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Math, or similar field.
  2. Prior experience with medical devices.
  3. Experience with pumps and sensors technologies
  4. Demonstrated ability to work and lead within a team-based project environment
  5. Experience with developing the product vision and requirements for successful product experience
  6. Experience with maintaining the feature backlog
  7. Ability to effectively communicate technical information through presentation and through the preparation of technical documentation and/or manuscripts
  8. Strong attention to detail and an ability to deal with ambiguity
  9. Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
  10. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  11. Experience with CI/CD technologies
  12. Experience with managing products involving development of cloud-native technologies and micro-services framework
  13. Experience in a Medical device or regulated industry and exposure to regulatory submissions. Understanding of FDA regulations including (ISO) 13485
  14. PMP certification

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD): $140,800.00 - $211,200.00. This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
