Pay Range: $80,083 - $170,031
Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.
Location: Glastonbury, CT
Purpose/Objective:
Assists in implementing and delivering a full range of services to a select clientele, including complex trust and estate matters and administration of client accounts.
Key Accountabilities:
- Maintains existing client accounts by nurturing client relationships and educating on new services and products. Meets consistently with clients to review their fiduciary objectives, philanthropic interest, estate and tax planning needs, and to support their overall financial wellbeing.
- Assists in identifying, developing, and responding to new business opportunities. Will be expected to contribute to the department level new business goals by developing new sales opportunities through a variety of different channels both internally and externally. Partner with colleagues throughout the bank to achieve a high level of client service.
- Support a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
- Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one's duties.
Education:
- BA or equivalent degree
- Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) preferred
Experience:
- 5 + years' Trust experience managing high net worth client relationships
- Demonstrated record of meeting new business goals
- Demonstrated record of relationship selling
- Strong fiduciary background with an emphasis on trust administration, estate planning, probate accounting and estate settlement
- Well-versed in current estate tax law and critical tax changes
Skills Knowledge:
- Strong interpersonal and quantitative skills
- Ability to handle large workloads efficiently
- Time management skills
- Ability to communicate difficult contents or technical information in terms clients will understand
- Comfortable presenting to and communicating with high-net-worth individuals, trust beneficiaries, attorneys and CPAs
- Demonstrated ability to develop, present and implement financial plans with Bank clientele and prospects
- Ability to create a sense of trust and confidence quickly with new clients and to maintain both with existing clients
