Role Information

• Opportunities, gaps, and downtime during deployment that your software development experience would be invaluable.
• On top of deploying and monitoring, we need better ways to track our deployments high-side and low-side, dashboards, egress/ingress automation of database queries/results, and anything else you can find that will help us.
• The first thing to jump into is Azure Data Explorer (aka Kusto). The query language is user-friendly enough to be called scripting, but powerful enough to handle billions of records. Once we start deployments, we'll use it every day, pushing to config git-repos, using internal bespoke tools to monitor and debug deployments. When deployments go wrong, we'll tear through different logs, remote into individual machines, and run command line utilities in PowerShell, Bash, and Python.

• Role onsite for 4 months; after the 4-month period, remote work can extend up to 50% at the manager's discretion.
• Coding exercise not required but should understand coding languages.
• On-call but manager determines; it is not frequent but if required, it would be 6 times a year and is rotational based on the team’s needs. Hours can be offset during the week.
