Litigation Analyst

Position Type: Full Time

Hybrid (3 Days Onsite)

Location: Washington D.C.

Salary Range: $27.00/hour*

The Litigation Analyst works as a billable resource in the Firm that provides value to specific projects on client matters. A Litigation Analyst works on research projects, fact development, timelines, court filings, witness interviews and other case needs to support the Firm’s litigation department. Employees in this position typically work for approximately two years prior to law school or other professional endeavor.

Job Functions & Responsibilities

  1. Assist with research projects, fact development, timelines and other case needs to support the Firm’s litigation practice.
  2. Assist with case file organization and general file management under the supervision of a paralegal or attorney.
  3. Proofread documents in preparation of filing with a keen attention to detail.
  4. Draft summaries of legal analysis and professional emails to document status of projects.
  5. Work effectively and collaboratively with all members of the Firm.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • SharePoint
  • Document Management System (iManage, FileSite)
  • Westlaw and/or other online internet research tools preferable

Qualifications & Skill Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited college or university with a cumulative GPA of 3.6 or higher preferred.
  • Fluency in a foreign language is preferred.
  • Ability to be available, as needed, for after-hours and weekend overtime.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Prior office experience preferred.
  • Strong interest in pursuing a future legal career.
  • Ability to proactively seek work and manage work load.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, reasoning and research skills.
  • Ability to function as a team player.
  • Ability to respond quickly to constantly changing instructions and understand complex and substantive case facts and themes.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and produce error free work.
  • Ability to consistently produce high-quality work product, regularly checks for errors and makes corrections as necessary.
  • Ability to independently complete work.
  • Ability to complete assignments in a timely fashion.

Physical Demands

Writing, typing, reading, speaking, hearing, seeing, sitting, bending, reaching, lifting up to 25 lbs.

Working Conditions

Quiet office environment in a high-rise building, seated the majority of the time.
