North Wind Site Services is focused on providing engineering, program management, environmental remediation services including investigation and characterization, environmental restoration, unexploded ordnance/military munitions response (MMRP), regulatory public involvement services, environmental compliance, logistics, and records and facility management.
POSITION PURPOSE:
- Support Environmental Records Management Contract.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare, compile, and sort documents for data entry.
- Perform accurate data entry into Records Management Database (RMD) and web-based database (NIRIS).
- Protect sensitive information by adding the appropriate exemption and page numbers to database.
- Apply data entry changes on an as-needed basis.
- Apply Adobe Acrobat for manipulation of PDF files for upload to database.
- Document labeling and filing.
- Assist Supervisor with special projects.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- If applicable, special projects would be determined by supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- Preferable, 2 years experience in data entry.
- High School Diploma required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to follow set processes and procedures as well as able to adapt to evolving processes.
- Strong collaboration, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work accurately, follow instructions/schedules/timelines and handle multiple priorities.
- Excellent ability to follow quality control steps.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Special Requirements:
- No travel involved.
- Common Access Card (CAC) is required.
- Background check is required.
- Regular drug/alcohol test is required – standard for all North Wind positions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with data entry.
- Experience using databases and Adobe Acrobat.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- This is an office job. No special physical activities other than sitting at a desk, retrieving printouts from printer and filing documents in the file room.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Indoors. Minimal noise. It’s not a health or safety hazard by any means.
