We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Painter with experience in painting vehicles, including cars, trucks, trailers, and buses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in using HVLP equipment, a positive attitude, and the ability to follow instructions while working effectively with others. This is a Contract-to-Hire position.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 7 am - 3:30 pm, OT as needed
Compensation: $27 - $35/hr
Location: South Seattle, WA
Responsibilities:
- Prepare vehicles for painting by performing necessary surface preparation, masking, and priming.
- Apply paint to vehicles using HVLP equipment, ensuring even coverage and high-quality finish.
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve the desired results.
- Inspect painted surfaces for flaws, and make touch-ups as needed.
- Maintain and clean painting equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in auto body painting, with a focus on trucks, trailers, and/or buses preferred.
- Proficiency in using HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) spray guns and other painting tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with colleagues.
