Job Description: Detailer
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 (plus overtime)

Core Function:
To translate design drawings into complete and accurate shop and erection drawings, and direct the fabrication and erection of miscellaneous and structural components.
The Client:
Our client is a leading AISC steel fabricator and erector across the Midwest and has been operating since the mid-1900s.
Responsibilities:
To provide complete and accurate shop and erection drawings that comply with AISC and IBC codes and standards.
Review design drawings and identify problem areas before producing drawings.
Collaborate with design team members, other trades, and vendors to ensure the needs of the project are met.
Requirements:
5-years' experience with CAD/conventional drafting preferably in structural steel fabrication/erection. SDS/2 and/or Tekla a plus.
The understanding of engineering principles, shop fabrication, and field construction practices.
Be able to read and comprehend technical drawings and specifications.
