Restaurant BartenderSUMMARY:Branch & Bird is searching for a reliable Bartender who will be responsible for service and production in our bar area. This person will prepare craft cocktails, wine, craft beers, coffee, tea and non-alcoholic beverages within the specs of Branch & Bird. Secondary duties will be to help deliver food orders to guest tables, provide courteous and efficient service, present accurate guest bills and collect accurate payments. This person must assist in the maintenance of the bar/barista area and equipment and be able to maintain timely, detailed and deferential guest service standards. The Bartender will report directly to the management.Essential Functions and Responsibilities :Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinksPrepare and stock the bar and cocktail area with the necessary tools to ensure an effective shiftBe knowledgeable of the brands of beer, wine and liquor that we carry, as well as the ingredients for the most common cocktailsPrepare and sell coffee, tea and non-alcoholic beverages by following recipes and preparation techniquesMaintain complete knowledge of all menu items, specials, 86'd items, liquor brands, beers, wines and non-alcoholic selections available in the restaurantGreet and acknowledge all arriving guests, however busy and whatever time of dayTake/Enter/Deliver beverage and food orders in a timely, courteous, accurate mannerPresent guest bills and process payments in an accurate, courteous and timely mannerPerforms daily cleaning and maintenance on all equipmentEnsure that service and product standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basisMaintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations (TABC)Arrives to work on time, well-groomed in a clean uniform for every shiftAbility to understand guests' service needsHandle proper food & beverage preparation, rotations, labelling and storage techniquesHandle guest complaints by following procedures and ensuring guest satisfactionComplete specific or general side-work, opening and closing duties as assignedBreakdown the bar and cocktail area at the end of the shiftFollows all sanitation and safety policiesMaintain knowledge of scheduled daily activitiesPerforms other duties as assigned by managementQUALIFICATIONS:Previous bartending experience requiredEducation: High School Diploma/GEDTABC CertificationFood Handler’s CertificationMust be passionate about creating an exceptional and professional guest experienceMust have exceptional attention to detail and clerical accuracy.
