Corporate Sales Manager

Job Summary
Under the direction of the Corporate Director of Sales and/or Area Operations Manager(s), the Sales Manager generates new sales, maintains and services existing customer base, and achieves the budgeted revenue goals for the hotel(s) to which they are assigned.
Responsibilities
Assist in developing sales and marketing plans for assigned properties
Provide sales training to staff of hotel as applicable
Analyze revenue management strategy using such tools as Star Reports, demand analysis and applicable front office systems
Schedule sales appointments
Conduct required amount of solicitation calls
Organize, maintain, and track sales data
Complete requests of General Manager, CDOS and other management personnel, as applicable
Send weekly recap of all sales activity and assigned follow-up action items to CDOS
Participate in Sales conference calls as deemed necessary
Performs essential functions of Director of Sales/Sales Manager/Sales Leader in their absence
Travel to properties and overnight stays may be required depending on assignment and sales needs
Maintain good rapport with clients. Work closely with clients to coordinate details and special requests
Send appropriate collateral and directs calls to sales management staff as necessary
Gives site tours when needed
Coordinates the delivery of requested equipment and food for meeting rooms with other departments, when necessary
Goes on sales calls and blitzes with Sales Department and serves as a point of contact to all hotel accounts if necessary
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Requires a minimum of 2 year(s) of hospitality sales and or management experience.
Ability to organize multiple projects; manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills – ability to write routine reports and correspondence, ability to speak effectively in a group setting.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Must have experience with properties of similar size and quality.
