The Accounting Manager will oversee Accounting areas with a focus on Fixed Assets/Construction to be a key player i n the month-end financial close and review process. The Accounting Manager will report to the Fixed Assets Accounting Senior Manager. The Accounting team drives the month end close process, is responsible for the preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements and plays an essential role in the overall finance organization.Key Responsibilities:Manage the monthly financial close by reviewing account schedules and journal entries and working cross functionally with other internal stakeholders to obtain relevant information.Perform analytics on various income statement & balance sheet accounts to to compare expected results to actualsReview balance sheet account reconciliations and supporting schedules, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of applicable ledger accounts and oversee the timely completion of the monthly close and reconciliation processAnswer accounting and financial inquiries from leadership and other internal stakeholders by researching and interpreting dataServe as a key point of contact for the year-end financial statement audit and quarterly reviews including internal audit and SOX requestsRecommend and implement process improvements as appropriate to simplify, standardize and streamline effortsSupport Senior Leadership with various ad-hoc analyses and projects, as assignedCollaborate and formulate working relationships with cross-functional teams including Finance, Building Operations, Construction Operations and Legal within WeWorkOversee and lead a team of off-shore accounting resources, including task list management and review of deliverablesAbout YouWe'd love to hear from you if you meet the qualifications below:5+ years of relevant accounting experienceBachelor's degree (B.A. /B.S.) or equivalent in accounting or related discipline. Master's degree preferred.Active CPA license in good standingProficient with MS Office with advanced excel skills and the ability to manipulate large data sets (VLOOKUP, Sum-Ifs, Pivot tables, etc.)Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley requirementsFlexible; able to quickly and successfully adapt to change while maintaining poise & executive presence, detail-oriented and results driven experience in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skills; proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external business partners at various levelsProblem solver with strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities while meeting deadlinesFamiliarity with analytical process automation specifically Alteryx a plusWorking knowledge of Workday a plusCompensation & BenefitsBase Pay: $97,500 - $130,000Incentive Compensation: WeWork employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan specific to their role. Your recruiter will detail what incentive plan is applicable to this specific role. WeWork incentive plans are subject to the terms of the applicable incentive compensation plan, which will be made available to you after commencing employment.
