General Manager/Director of Golf
Position Concept: The primary role as the General Manager/Director of Golf of Tuscarora Country Club is to present a professional and positive image of the Club while promoting and managing all golf-related activities. Be responsible for ensuring that all members and their guests have an exceptional golfing experience and assist the club in growing the membership.
Total Compensation (estimated): $70,000 - $90,000 a year ($55,000 - $65,000 a year base salary)

Tuscarora CC: Tuscarora is a private club offering an 18-hole golf course, golf shop, swimming pool, ballroom, and tap room, located in Danville, VA. The club was founded in 1957 and the course was designed by Gene Hamm. The club currently has approximately 280 full, golfing members and 80 social members.
Supervised By: President of Board of Directors
The Position Supervises:
- Golf Shop Staff
- Food and Beverage Manager
- Pool Manager
Responsibilities:
- Manage, hire, and direct the pro shop staff.
- Plan and manage golf tournaments and outings, including member events and outside charity/local tournaments with coordination from the tournament committee. Provide events for all types of members (men, women, and juniors).
- Greet members and guests in a warm and professional manner.
- Assist in creation of operating budgets and ensuring departments meet those projections.
- Stock retail merchandise in the golf shop for purchase (i.e. golf balls, gloves, shirts, hats, etc).
- Oversee the clubhouse facilities.
- Coordinate with the head of maintenance and food and beverage in relation to golf events.
