The anticipated salary range for this role is between $115,000.00 and $205,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
Role Description
SMBC Capital Markets is a derivatives trading company since 1988 based in New York City, with offices in London and Hong Kong. SMBC CM is an established derivatives dealer with a broad product portfolio, with specific emphasis on interest rates and foreign exchange. The candidate will build and maintain a variety of software applications, tools, or functions to support our business. The role will interact with the larger development team, share design and solutions, and contribute to the overall objectives of the development team.
Role Objectives
- This role will be part of the system development team to maintain and enhance existing in-house application for confirmations, payments processing, and regulatory reporting.
- The role will be involved in projects to migrate legacy systems into new platforms, and as such, he or she has to be a hands-on developer, a quick learner, and also be adaptive to new technologies.
- The role will take responsibilities to lead the project/application design and to oversee project development.
- This role will take responsibilities of supporting the trading system, including providing answers to users’ enquiries or resolving batch job issues.
- The role will be part of the SMBC CM development team. He or she will need to follow SMBC CM development standards and contribute to the overall agenda of the team.
- 7+ years of experience in Azure Cloud Development
- Familiar with Azure Manager Identity
- Experience on Azure Storage accounts
- Experience on Azure BLOB Storage, Cosmos DB and Azure SQL Server
- Experience on Azure Service Bus
- Experience on application security integration with Single Sign On
- Knowledge of automated deployment using Azure DevOps, OpenShift
- Knowledge on Monitoring tools like Application Insights and Log analytics
- Proven experience in OOD/OOP, especially in C#
- Strong SQL knowledge
- Experience in analyzing and designing complicated Data/Object Relations
- Experience in source control tools and scheduling tools
- Must be a good team player and can work cooperatively or independently
- Quick learner and problem solver
- 5 years in financial industry. Experience in Interest Rate Swap industry is a plus
