Pay Rate: $24.00/hr. on W2 without benefits

Job Description:
  • Performs technical administrative HR support requiring knowledge and application of applicable policy and procedures. Characteristic activities include: assisting with recruitment and staffing efforts, new employee orientation, data entry, records maintenance, and support of payroll and benefits processes. The incumbent assists with benefits orientation processes & coordinates the resolution of related inquiries; provides guidance to staff on routine HR matters (i.e. leave, benefits, and recruitment). Provides support for recruitment and screening efforts and prepares and maintains associated files and documents. May post approved recruitment ads.

Typical Core Duties:
Administrative Support & Records Maintenance:
  • Prepares and maintains personnel files under records maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Inputs and maintains HR-related data into established HR databases (i.e. recruitment & selection dates).
  • May generate reports using established guidelines and procedures.
  • Reviews forms for completeness and accuracy.

Recruitment & Selection Support :
  • Supports HR team with recruitment efforts as needed.
  • Coordinates and schedules job interviews and panels.
  • Assists with preparing files and paperwork for interviews.
  • Collects new employee forms.
  • May post approved recruitment postings in the recruitment management system.
  • Provides general guidance and/or directs inquiries to appropriate HR contact for response.

Benefits & Payroll Support:
  • Provides support to new employee benefits orientation and coordinates logistics such as scheduling conference rooms, sending out meeting invites, and preparing folders for new employees.
  • Provides forms to new and existing employees
  • May be responsible for entering employee leave balances and bi-weekly leave slips into the payroll system; may be responsible for maintaining employee leave records

Other Duties:
  • May perform other duties as assigned; may include functions in support of an emergency declaration.

Typical Supervision/Independence of Action:
  • Performs routine functions with independence. Receives general guidance from supervisor and/or Human Resources Analyst with setting priorities. Seeks supervisor guidance on complex or non-routine matters.

Typical KSAs:
  • General knowledge of human resource programs, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Ability and experience applying applicable policies and procedures.
  • Ability to prepare, process, track, and file personnel records.
  • Knowledge and experience with administrative and clerical processes and procedures.
  • Strong computer, oral, and written communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities.

Additional Considerations:
  • Training in Human Resources or related field.
  • Experience working in a Human Resources office for a large complex agency.
