Vice President – Private Markets

Job Description:

The Vice President of Private Markets will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of the organization’s Alternative Investments strategy, with a strong emphasis on private real estate, private equity, private credit, annuities, and life insurance. We are looking for someone knowledgeable and diligent to contribute to the firm’s efforts on research, due diligence and analysis, investment product services, and insurance offerings. This person will oversee the risk management and operational aspects of our current and future private markets offerings and be a voting member of the Product Review Committee. This role requires a proactive and analytical individual who is capable of managing complex financial information and regulatory requirements while supporting a broad range of investment products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain primary responsibility for alternative investments, while providing support for annuities and life insurance.
  • Oversee all aspects of the due diligence process, including risk analysis, researching both new and existing products, and reporting findings to the Product Review Committee.
  • Manage product sponsor relationships and drive enhanced partnership opportunities for the firm.
  • Serve as front-line resource for Realta Wealth advisers to support all aspects of their utilization of alternative products on behalf of their end clients.
  • Assist Compliance with regulatory requests from FINRA and the SEC as needed.
  • Partner with various departments across the firm on regulatory, operational, and due diligence standards and guidelines.
  • Maintain database of internal due diligence files.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-10 years financial services experience, preferably with alternative products
  • College degree required
  • Graduate degree, CFA, CAIA, CIMA a plus
  • Series 7, 63 and 24 required
  • Series 65 or 66 desired
