Job Description

As a Cloud Ops Consultant, you will leverage your expertise in cloud infrastructure, data management, and DevOps principles to design, implement, and optimize client cloud solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize infrastructure, streamline data workflows, and implement automation to drive efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Assessment and Design: Evaluate clients' existing infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and design cloud-native architectures that align with business objectives.
  • Infrastructure Implementation and Migration: Lead the implementation or migration of workloads to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.), ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption.
  • Data Management and Pipelines: Design and implement data storage, processing, and analytics solutions. Develop data pipelines that enable efficient data movement and transformation.
  • DevOps Automation: Implement automation tools and practices to streamline software development, testing, and deployment. Build CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Set up monitoring systems to track infrastructure and application performance. Analyze data to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure cloud infrastructure and data adhere to industry standards and regulations. Implement security best practices and identity and access management (IAM).
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with developers, data engineers, security teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues that arise in cloud environments. Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, and security problems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure automation, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Expertise in data management, including data warehousing, data lakes, and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience: 4 to 8 years

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks.
  • Cloud certifications from AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience working with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).

Plus:

  • Extensive experience with on-premises infrastructure technologies.
  • Proficient in Windows, Unix, and Linux system administration.

Mostly remote: 25% on-site - 75% remote
