SunSource is one of the largest leading suppliers of Fluid Power components, systems, service, and repair offering value-added capabilities such as; design and engineering services, productivity solutions and supply chain optimization. We are currently seeking a self-motivated Account Manager to develop new business for a territory home-based in Chicago. The focus will be selling fluid power components in the industrial markets related to marine, military, and other industrial market segments.

What will you be doing?
  • Work with your District Sales Manager to create a sales plan to develop a prospect list to capture new business
  • Full cycle prospecting activities including qualification of leads, cold calls, and sales presentations
  • Regularly meet with Sales Supervisor to review weekly sales activities, progress on goals, and status of prospective customers
  • Collaborate with knowledgeable customer service and technical support teams who will assist you in meeting and exceeding your sales goals
What you must be committed to?
  • Understanding of the market in the territory to generate and prospect for new business
  • Utilization of tools and resources to plan and manage time and territory
  • Cadence and accountability - weekly review with the sales manager
  • Expanding while maintaining existing business
What you must possess to be successful?
  • 2 year Technical, Industrial and or Business degree or any suitable combination of education, training and experience
  • 2+ years increasing sales experience, preferably selling hydraulic and/or pneumatic components within the industrial market space
  • Experience with value-add sales
  • Ability to establish and build business relationships
  • Can achieve and exceed sales goals
  • Valid drivers license
