DescriptionSAIC is seeking an Acquisition Specialist to join the Space and Intelligence Business Group in our Chantilly, VA office. This group provides specialized engineering, analysis and operations support to a variety of Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) customers. Our program supports the research and development of the generation after next of national security-related systems based in space, in the air and on the ground.Unique Duties:Work with government technical and contracts staff developing acquisition strategies enabling program development and implementationWork with government technical and contracts staff developing program acquisition packagesDraft contractual documents for government contracts officer review and signatureProvide acquisition advisory services during technical and cost evaluations of proposalsProvide technical support including the review and assessment of artificial intelligence/machine learning algorithms, concepts, and prototypesSupport Agile SAFe program development processes and activitiesCommon Duties:Work with technical staff documenting technical and programmatic requirementsEnter funding information into customer's financial toolsDevelop acquisition packages in accordance with government acquisition checklistsDraft common acquisition artifacts such as statements of work, Contract Data Requirements Lists, In Scope Determinations, and proposal evaluation criteriaProvide acquisition advisory services during technical and cost evaluations of proposalsEffectively work with development teams to track technical progress, identify blockers to progress, and assess technical solutionsQualificationsActive TS/SCI with PolyBachelors degree and 9 years related experience or Masters degree and 7 years related experienceAcquisition support experienceExcellent oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and environmentEffective interpersonal skills and strong briefing and communications skillsDesired Qualifications:Knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologiesExperience building architectural representations to inform management decision makingExperience with Agile development practices and SAFe processesSAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
