SummaryHybrid in IL or WI Market, 80% on-site/20% remoteUnder the direction of the System Director-Laboratory, this position serves as the primary responsible support individual of the Point of Care (POC) system for selected laboratories (15 hospitals). This support includes, but is not limited to, point of care test library maintenance, policy and procedure development, ad hoc report creation, upgrade support & planning, POC middleware database management, security, POC system training, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This position will serve as a liaison between Laboratory and other hospital departments to coordinate implementation of POC changes impacting all departments and will work collaboratively with the System Lab Service Line.QualificationsEducationAssociate's degree in Applied Sciences required and successful completion of a National Accreditation Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) accredited medical laboratory technician program, OR Associate’s degree in Applied Sciences and at least 60 academic credit hours including 6 hours chemistry and 6 hours biology and successful completion of a 50 week US military medical laboratory training course, OR Associates degree and at least 60 academic credit hours including 6 hours chemistry and 6 hours biology and 3 years full time lab experience in an accredited laboratory within the last 10 years.Experience3-5 years of experience in an accredited lab performing point of care testing or similar responsibilities is required.Certifications, Licenses and RegistrationsMedical Technician or Medical Laboratory Scientist or eligibility for certification by a nationally recognized certifying agency such as: - American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) - National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel (NCA) - American Medical Technologies (AMT) - Department of Health, Education and Welfare (HEW) - or other laboratory certifying agency is required.Physical Requirements: Clinical ( communities in Illinois and Wisconsin, 13 hospitals, numerous community-based health centers and clinics, our 13,000+ colleagues have built a culture based on our solid core values of respect, care, competence, and joy.
