Do you like technology and figuring out how things work? The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission (IRGC) is the state agency that regulates the fast-paced world of casino and sports wagering. This position will help ensure the licensed companies are following all state laws and rules. The ideal candidate will be able to review and interpret laws and regulations and put that knowledge into the practice of enforcing those with the 19 commercial casinos and over a dozen sports wagering companies licensed in the state of Iowa.Who We AreThe IRGC’s mission is in part toadminister the laws and rules for gambling and wagering in Iowa in order ensure the integrity of the licensees and their operations. Our goal is to be an effective, efficient and approachable regulatory agency.The Compliance Officer position will serve as a liaison to other state agencies such as the Attorney General’s Office and the Department of Revenue as well as all licensees to provide recommendations on compliance with state regulations. This is an in-person position located at 6200 Park Avenue in Des Moines with minimal travel requirements and is a 40 hour/week position.
