DEPARTMENT NAME : WCR CAGE
REPORTS TO: Cage Shift Manager
PAY RATE: $16.75 per hour
POSITION STATUS: regular Full-Time, non-exempt
HOURS PER WEEK: 40
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of the Cage Shift Manager, this position involves accurately paying jackpots, issuing and receiving banks from various casino venues, processing jackpot paperwork, counting and recording employee tips, and preparing and counting chips for Blackjack tables. The Cage Cashier ensures all transactions are accurate and comply with casino policies and procedures.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent
1-year cashier experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

- Provide exceptional guest service to external and internal guests by maintaining and exhibiting the We-Ko-Pa Way: Smile and Greet, Name and Meet, Thank you, and Goodbye.
- Accurately pay jackpots and issue and receive banks from various casino venues.
- Ensures all jackpot paperwork is processed and signed as required.
- Process jackpots and maintain accountability for jackpot paperwork.
- Process tax forms, verify social security numbers, and process jackpot checks as needed.
- Accurately count and record employee tips being turned into the cage.
- Prepare and count chips for fills and credits for the Blackjack Tables.
- Complete bank accountability forms properly, including all non-bankable paperwork, end-of-shift balance sheets, and money orders.
- Count and reconcile kiosk canisters.
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain the utmost accuracy in processing paperwork and payments of cash.
- Must possess strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must have excellent guest service skills.
- Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
- Must have the ability to handle large sums of money and perform accurate transactions.
- Proficient in using relevant software and systems, including a 10-key calculator for cash handling and accounting.
- Must be able to prioritize various job duties that will need to be done simultaneously.
- Must process transactions accurately and maintain window variances to an absolute minimum.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds and push or pull 100 pounds.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a State/Tribal License (including extensive background check).
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Must pass a math test.
