**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)
**Job Specialty:** Critical Care
**Job Duration:** 12 weeks
**Shift:** Nights, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum three years of acute care experience required
**License:** Valid CA RN License
**Certifications:** AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
**Must-Have:** Ability to float to sister facilities and other departments as requested and qualified
**Job Description:**
- Deliver safe, effective, quality nursing care in accordance with the nursing department's philosophy and objective.
- Utilize theories and models such as Jean Watson's Theory of Caring and Relationship-Based Care to provide comprehensive care.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for all assigned patients.
- Use a therapeutic professional relationship to promote, maintain, and restore health in collaboration with the patient/family and interdisciplinary team.
- Provide care according to the specific physiological, developmental, and psychosocial needs of the patient.
- Demonstrate competence by applying scientific knowledge from social, biological, and physical sciences.
- Foster a positive patient care experience through effective communication and resolution of complaints.
- Maintain current working knowledge and ensure safe use of equipment, instrumentation, and medications.
- Delegate tasks to care team members based on their legal scopes of practice and effectively supervise nursing care.
- Act as the patient's advocate and provide opportunities for informed decision-making.
- Deliver culturally competent, age-appropriate, ethical care within legal standards of practice.
- Coordinate patient care activities with nurses, physicians, allied health professionals, and ancillary care team members.
- Uphold and support the mission, vision, values, and expectations of excellence within the organization.
- Perform skills essential for nursing action and educate patients and families on health needs.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and modify as needed.
- Contribute to patient satisfaction and conduct thorough investigations of complaints.
- Perform all physical duties required, including lifting, bending, and other necessary movements.
- Complete all annual organizational requirements for employment.
