This is a Public Notice for FAA authorized Program Management (0340) positions open to U.S. Citizens. Positions may be announced for FV-J through K to support the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act 2021. Positions to only be filled within the Office of Communications (AOC) line of business.

Qualifications

FV-J (FG/GS-14): To qualify at this level, you must demonstrate possession of at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-I (FG/GS-13) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience may include:

  1. Experience in Media Relations program management to include planning, organizing, resolving issues, coordinating tasks, and implementing the visions and strategy of short and long-range goals;
  2. Developing internal processes and procedures, implementing process improvements, program enhancements and management efficiencies for a Team, Division and/or organization;
  3. Speaking on the record to media representatives and providing information in response to reporter inquiries.

FV-K (FG/GS-15): To qualify at this level, you must demonstrate possession of at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-J (FG/GS-14) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience may include:

  1. Experience in aviation to communicate policies, procedures, or other purposes of a program with high-level officials and media representatives (i.e., industry representatives, legislative executives/Capitol Hill or other government entities, reporters, editors, or staffers);
  2. Assessing and navigating complex program/business issues;
  3. Developing and implementing communication plans, targeted media distribution lists, strategies, and awareness campaigns for an organization.
