Position: Journeyman Carpenter
Location: Kahului, HI (West Maui)
Pay: $83,200/year
Experience:
- 4 years of experience as a journeyman carpenter or completion of a recognized apprenticeship program
- Experience with custom carpentry or specialized finishes is preferred
Education: Carpentry certification or equivalent is preferred. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.

Employers Options is seeking an Experienced Journeyman Carpenter to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical drawings to ensure project specifications are met
- Build, install and repair frameworks, partitions, joists and other wooden structures
- Install doors, windows, trim, cabinetry and other finishing materials with precision and attention to detail
- Safely operate hand and power tools including saws, drills and sanders: maintain personal carpentry tools and ensure they are in good working condition
- Measure and cut materials to the required specifications, ensuring minimal waste: install various materials including wood, plywood, drywall and metal
- Inspect work during and after completion to ensure it meets industry standards and project requirements
- Work closely with other tradespeople, including electricians and plumbers, to ensure the project runs smoothly and on time
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with OSHA regulations
Position Requirements:
- Must own reliable transportation and basic carpentry tools
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, building codes and safety practices
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and blueprints
- Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods and work in various weather conditions
- Effective verbal communication skills for working in a team environment
