Position SummaryDevelop and manage career resources and programming provided to all alumni of NYU Law. Research developments, trends and opportunities in the legal job market and profession to be used by the School of Law's Office of Career Services (OCS) for career counseling and related departmental activities. Provide intensive career counseling and career information to JD and LLM alumni on complex job and career transition issues. Cultivate relationships between OCS and peers at other law school career offices, DART, lateral recruiting professionals and alumni mentors. Oversee statistical report preparation, online alumni job listings, and related services. Serve as point of contact for employers seeking candidates and related requests.QualificationsRequired Education:Juris Doctorate (J.D.) or LLM degree or MA in Counseling or similarPreferred Education:Juris Doctorate (J.D.) or LLM degree plus coursework in career or human resources counseling.Required Experience:5+ years of progressively responsible experience in career counseling or human resources recruiting, or related field.Preferred Experience:5+ years of Law school career services experience. Legal experience in private practice or a combination of private practice and public service.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Strong counseling, research, writing, organizational and networking skills.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Knowledge of technology to support delivery of career services programs; career counseling and interpretation skills; strong group presentation skills.Additional InformationIn compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $85,000.00 to USD $125,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
