Comprising aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment professionals, and supply chain experts, we ensure our fleet is always ready to transport our customers safely and efficiently. If you’re passionate about aircraft maintenance, join our Tech Ops experts and help keep our fleet in top condition.Key Responsibilities:As a Senior Engineer- Engineering Performance & Process Standardization, you'll assess and improve engineering tools, processes, and training programs. When challenges arise, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that enhance performance and reliability.Analyze and resolve issues related to engineering tools, processes, and trainings.Apply structured, logical problem-solving techniques to identify and implement improvements.Assess the impact of new tools and process changes on performance, cost, and reliability.Lead projects from concept to execution, including design, testing, and management.Provide on-site technical support for engineering operations.Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate process recommendations and quality investigations.Develop complex solutions, project justifications, and manage implementation plans with cost/benefit analysis.Coordinate with operational teams to ensure safety, airworthiness, regulatory compliance, and efficiency.Organize and manage priorities to meet all project deliverables on time.Location: This position is based at CSC-Willis Tower in Chicago, IL. A hybrid work schedule is available, typically requiring three days in the office, subject to change based on company needs.QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, or industrial engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.2-4 years of experience in an engineering role or similar position.Strong ability to interpret technical documentation.Demonstrated project development and management skills with attention to detail.Effective communication skills.Willingness to travel up to 20%.Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.Reliable, punctual attendance is essential.What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):Experience working across functions within an organization.Familiarity with United Tech Ops tools and processes.Knowledge of process mapping and optimization techniques.Understanding of Lean principles.United Airlines is an equal-opportunity employer.
