Job Description

The VP of Sales will lead the sales department in driving revenue growth and market expansion. This position will work closely with our Chief Revenue Officer on strategic planning, business development, client relationship management, and overseeing the sales team. This position requires a driven and passionate individual who has a competitive mindset and a passion for excellence - a high-energy professional who has experience leading sales teams, working with high net worth individuals, and providing excellent customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sales Leadership:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company’s business goals.
    • Identify growth opportunities within the automotive restoration market, including new product or service offerings.
    • Monitor industry trends and market shifts to stay competitive and innovative in sales approaches.
  • Sales Team Management:
    • Recruit, train, and mentor the sales, aftersales, and warranty team, ensuring their performance aligns with company objectives.
    • Set individual and team sales targets, regularly reviewing performance metrics and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
    • Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Identify and develop new business relationships with potential clients, key industry influencers, and partners.
  • Business Development and Market Expansion:
    • Collaborate with the marketing department to design sales campaigns, promotions, and branding initiatives to enhance market presence.
    • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the company's services and expand market reach.
  • Financial and Operational Oversight:
    • Prepare and manage the sales department’s budget, ensuring resource allocation aligns with company goals.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as operations and finance, to ensure seamless service delivery and profitability.
    • Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics and potential risks.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Proven experience as a Sales Director or in a similar leadership role within the automotive or related industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive restomod space, industry standards, and customer needs.
  • Strong business acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, market trends, and financial information to make informed business decisions.
  • Experience with CRM software and sales performance tools.
  • Ability to work over 40 hours per week, on call as needed evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Flexibility to travel to company events as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to work.
  • Background check and pre-employment drug screening required.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 10 years’ sales management experience in a luxury industry (automotive, boating, aerospace, or similar industry). Prior supervisory or leadership experience.

Physical Demands (to include but not limited to)

  • Must be physically able to operate a variety of equipment including computers, office equipment, telephone, cameras, lighting, etc.
  • Sit for long periods of time working at a desk, boardroom table, or at a computer.
  • Walk long distances across shop floor.
  • Must be able to see details of objects from a distance, example: identifying numbers on computer screen
  • Ability to lift, carry, and place items up to 20 pounds without assistance.
  • Occasional reaching overhead and below knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting.
