Senior Demand Planning Analyst

Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Demand Planning Analyst to join our client's dynamic supply chain team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory levels and ensure product availability. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong data analysis skills and the ability to drive continuous improvement in demand planning processes.

Responsibilities

• Demand Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using statistical models, historical data, and market analysis. Adjust forecasts based on changes in market conditions, promotional activities, and other relevant factors.
• Data Analysis: Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer behavior to identify patterns and insights that inform demand planning decisions. Utilize advanced analytics tools to improve forecast accuracy.
• Inventory Management: Collaborate with inventory management and procurement teams to ensure optimal inventory levels. Monitor stock levels and recommend adjustments to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to align demand forecasts with business objectives. Participate in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings to communicate forecast updates and address any discrepancies.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in demand planning and forecasting. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on demand forecast accuracy, inventory performance, and other key metrics to senior management. Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
• Risk Management: Assess potential risks to the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions. Monitor external factors such as economic conditions, competitor activities, and regulatory changes that may impact demand.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or a related role within a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree a plus
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in processing purchase orders
• Experience required in SAP Business One and MS Office suite
