JOB SUMMARY:
The Energy Equipment Senior Tax Manager will report to the Energy Equipment Tax Director and will be expected to perform the following primary duties and responsibilities: develop and manage workplans for strategic tax projects for the EE segment, advise on tax implications of cross border contracts to optimize worldwide tax efficiency and mitigate tax exposures, carry out quarterly FIN48, FAS5 exposure analysis, and provide practical day to day operational tax guidance.
JOB ROLE:
The Energy Equipment Senior Tax Manager will report to the Energy Equipment Tax Director. This person will be expected to perform the following duties and responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Advise on tax implications of cross border contracts
- Perform tax risk assessments to optimize worldwide tax efficiency and mitigate tax exposures
- Carry out quarterly FIN48, FAS5 exposure analysis
- Implement, monitor and help to develop transfer pricing policies
- Provide practical day to day operating guidance
- Work closely with operations, sales, finance, HR and accounting departments
- Interact with third-party tax advisors
- Assist with projects related to restructuring and acquisition implementation
- Perform tax research and draft technical memos
- This role does not perform tax preparation/compliance activities
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S. in accounting or finance required, and Advanced Degree in Accounting / Taxation / Law preferred
- CPA or JD preferred
- 6+ years of experience in Big 4 and/or large multinational public company
- Experience with cross border tax issues including permanent establishment, tax treaties & WHT
TOP REQUIRED SKILLS:
- MUST HAVE 6+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN BIG4 OR A LARGE MULTINATIONAL PUBLIC COMPANY
- MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH CROSS BORDER TAX ISSUES (ENSURE THIS IS CLEARLY SHOWN ON ALL RESUMES)
- MUST HAVE STRONG COMMUNICATION SKILLS (WRITTEN AND VERBAL)
- ADVANCED MICROSOFT OFFICE SKILLS
- PREVIOUS EXPOSURE TO TRANSFER PRICING (ENSURE THIS IS CLEARLY SHOWN ON ALL RESUMES)
- MUST HAVE EXCEPTIONAL ORGANIZATIONAL AND TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS
