Summary
This candidate will be part of an enterprise DevOps team to develop tools and CI/CD framework that accelerate development, testing, and deployment of applications. Great opportunity for a solid Python developer with DevOps experience or looking to move into a DevOps role.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

  1. Develop tools and CI/CD framework to make it easier for teams to build, configure, and deploy applications
  2. Provide build pipelines, verification & promotion pipelines, and automated delivery tools with level II support including bug fixes and new features as necessary
  3. Write unit and integration tests based on chosen DevOps frameworks
  4. Troubleshoot environments as problems arise, test fixes, and perform follow-up to ensure problems have been adequately resolved
  5. Other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  1. 4+ years programming experience
  2. Hands-on experience working in Agile and DevOps cultures, focusing on Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) automation and process improvement
  3. Experience working both independently and well as collaborating in a fast-paced, change-oriented, and demanding IT environment with a strong focus on business outcomes
  4. Self-starter – takes the initiative to research, learn, and deliver. Anticipates the play.
  5. Team player – humble, collaborative, and focused on making sure the entire team succeeds

Technical Skills

  1. 4+ years programming experience developing in Python and/or Java (with at least 1 year Python)
  2. 3+ years hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools and technologies such as GitHub, Make, Docker, Compose, and Artifactory
  3. Experience writing unit and integration tests with frameworks such as pytest and unittest
  4. Working knowledge of Jenkins pipelines
  5. Working knowledge of Terraform
  6. Working knowledge of Kubernetes and Helm
  7. Experience working with cloud ecosystems (AWS preferred)

Education And/or Experience

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field (or equivalent work experience)

Certificates or Licenses

  1. Relevant industry certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or Developer Associate are a plus
