Director, Energy Financial Reporting
A Day in the Life
Prologis is seeking a Director, Energy Financial Reporting who is passionate about sustainable energy, climate change, and technology. This role will lead the accounting department in reporting and analyzing the Global Energy business. You will work closely with senior leaders in the Global Energy business to evaluate accounting and financial reporting implications and provide accounting and financial perspective as the energy business grows and develops.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Lead in a global role reporting to senior Accounting leadership.
- Oversee and lead all internal and external financial reporting for the energy business, including internal financial reporting and external reporting.
- Create processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting of energy transactions and metrics.
- Review and analyze monthly and quarterly financial statements for accuracy.
- Be a primary point of contact for the Global Energy business.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, FP&A, and legal to support consolidated financial reporting.
- Serve as a resource for international accounting groups regarding energy transactions.
- Special projects as needed for senior management.
- Make suggested improvements to existing processes.
- Up to 20% domestic travel.
Building Blocks for Success
Required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting from a four-year college or university.
- 8+ years of financial reporting and technical accounting experience, with prior leadership roles.
- 5+ years of public accounting experience.
- Relevant energy industry experience (renewable energy or utility experience).
- Strong ability to operate in the grey and create a playbook for new processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate processes and implement enhancements.
- Customer service focus with collaborative skills.
Preferred
- CPA license.
Salary
Hiring Salary Range of: $148,000 – $180,000.
