The clinic handles approximately 120-150 patients monthly, depending on walk-ins and scheduled appointments. The patient volume for this Medical Assistant will vary as they become familiar with different providers within the clinic.Skills:Rooming patientsObtaining blood pressureDocumenting signs/symptomsTaking weight and temperatureCompleting medical history documentationAssisting with tests (urinalyses, strep/flu/pregnancy tests)Scheduling tests and appointmentsPerforming prior authorizations, Updating immunization records, Handling phone triagePerforming walk-in patient dutiesEagerness to learn and growClear communication, Courtesy, Time Management,Support for organizational mission and valuesAn upbeat, positive, outgoing attitude and not afraid to "jump in" when needed to ensure consistent patient flow and positive interactions from patientsStrong patient first care and experienceMedication Reconciliation, POC testingQualifications:REQUIRED: Active CMA (AAMA), RMA, NCMA or CCMA certification.REQUIRED: Successful completion of/AND graduation from a recognized medical assistant training course (or equivalent experience required).Experience within family practice, Internal Medicine, Pain Management, or PediatricsPOC testingExperience with Cerner (or EMR systems in general)Work EnvironmentWorking hours are 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday.
